Welcome to The Center for Rural Development! Located in the heart of the Lake Cumberland region, one of Kentucky’s top tourist destinations, The Center is the most versatile event and meeting location between Lexington, Kentucky, and Knoxville, Tennessee, with more than 35,000 square feet of functional event space.

Our North and South Exhibit Halls have a combined total of 23,160 square feet of functional event space and can accommodate any type of event from large conferences to trade shows, community events, and special family gatherings – like a wedding.
Located adjacent to the North Exhibit Hall are five 600-square-foot modular Ballrooms, featuring fold-out panels which can be customized for either individual breakout meeting rooms or one overall 3,000 square-foot meeting space with full internet access.
Our main lobby with large windows and open space is ideal for making special memories with your family and friends. The room has natural lighting and can be tailored for your event.
The crown jewel of The Center is its state-of-the-art 760-seat theatre – the place to be for live entertainment events, electrifying concerts, and Broadway-style performances.
