An online news article posted by The Huffington Post this week draws attention to the lifelong value education in the STEM majors—that’s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—has on the earning potential of a college graduate.
According to a new survey just released by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, STEM majors earn the highest starting salaries when compared to their peers in the liberal arts, and increasingly, business majors.
That’s good news for graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars and Rogers Explorers programs. Engineering is one of the declared majors for Scholars. Explorers work on developing their skills in math, science, and technology.
