Direct from China, the New Shanghai Circus returns to The Center for Rural Development in Somerset on Friday, April 20, for the fifth and final Center Stage performance of the season.
Astonishing athletes defy gravity and execute breathtaking feats as they stretch the limits of human ability in this spellbinding show set to begin at 7:30 p.m. in The Center’s theatre.
The performance, presented by Lake Cumberland Performing Arts in partnership with The Center, brings more than 2,000 years of Chinese circus tradition to stage at The Center.
“If it’s humanly possible—and even if it’s not—Shanghai’s acrobats, jugglers, and contortionists do it with spectacular flair!”
Dianna Winstead, associate director of arts, culture, and events
