If you have been waiting to purchase individual tickets for any of the five performances planned for this season’s Center Stage series at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, now is your chance.
Individual tickets for the 2011-2012 Center Stage series shows are now on sale at The Center’s Box Office, located at 2292 South U.S. 27 (Traffic Light 15) in Somerset, and available online. You can also call the Box Office at 606-677-6000 to place ticket orders over the phone.
Season subscription packages also are still available. For the first time this season, buyers can purchase a set of five tickets for all five performances, or choose tickets for any three of the season’s shows, all offered at discounted prices.

This musical tapestry brings the War Between the States to life in text and song. The history of the Civil War has never been presented so creatively as in this production. A fluid compilation of historical text, drawn from diaries, letters and other Civil War-era writings, together with period songs, make this performance a soul-stirring crowd pleaser. “Damn Yankees,” Tuesday, March 20

New Shanghai Circus, Friday, April 20

All of the Center Stage performances are held in The Center’s theatre and begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of “Mooseltoe: A New Musical,” the holiday show, which includes both a 3 p.m. matinee and 7:30 p.m. show.
A pre-show event, sponsored by Clear Channel Lake Cumberland and Sully’s Restaurant, is held from 6-7 p.m. in The Center’s front lobby prior to each Center Stage performance. Early guests can enjoy an optional catered dinner served by Sully’s and free entertainment.
The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, provides operating support to Lake Cumberland Performing Arts with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
