Rogers Scholars 5K Glow Run & Walk | Oct. 19 | 7 p.m. | The Center for Rural Development
The Center for Rural Development has added a costume contest and free community Fun Run prior to the start of the Rogers Scholars 5K Glow Run/Walk.
COSTUME CONTEST: Judges will be looking for the coolest GLOW gear or Halloween costumes! Prizes will be awarded to the winners in the following categories:
- Individual – Female (13 & above)
- Individual – Male (13 & above)
- Individual – Female (12 & under)
- Individual – Male (12 & under)
- Partner/Couple
- Team
FUN RUN: Grab the kids and pets too and enjoy a Fun Run for all ages and members of the family! The shorter one-mile Fun Run is open to everyone, including pet owners and their pets. Registration is not required. All pets must be on a leash and under the control of their owners at all times.
Both the costume contest and Fun Run are scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. at The Center for Rural Development.
ROGERS SCHOLARS 5k GLOW RUN & WALK: Gather your friends, co-workers, family, etc., and participate as a team in this fun, family friendly event to support the Rogers Scholars program. Race time is 7 p.m. (EST).
Top 3 teams will be recognized during the awards ceremony. Medals will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Prizes will be awarded to top overall male and female runner!
Registration is open.
Adults (18 & up)—$20
Youth (17 & under)—$10
Groups (5 or more)—$15/participant
Day of Registration—$25
The race is CHIP TIMED.
Join us for an awards recognition ceremony at Courtyard of Marriott immediately following the conclusion of the race.
