For three years, Josh Nadzam of Lexington and Tabitha Bell of Jamestown have dominated the Rogers Scholars 5K Glow Run/Walk. And this year was no exception.
Nadzam, competing for his third consecutive title, won the race finishing slightly more than three minutes ahead of his nearest competitor with a time of 18:15.
Bell was the top overall female winner. A two-time champ, she also captured her third win with a time of 24:26.
One hundred and sixteen competitors from 12 Kentucky counties came out to support the fourth annual Rogers Scholars program on Oct. 14 at The Center in Somerset.
The Rogers Scholars 5K Glow Run/Walk was presented by The Center, Rogers Scholars, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset Community College, Lake Cumberland Regional Airport, Alton Blakely Ford, Citizens National Bank, DC Trimble, Evans, Harville, Atwell & Company, Lake Cumberland Visitors Bureau, City of Somerset, and Journey to Fitness.
Proceeds from the race will go to support the Rogers Scholars youth leadership program.
