Dramatic…Shocking…Revealing…Convicting…
“Hiding Place” is inspired by the Corrie ten Boom story
The Ballet Magnificat! Omega Company brings the story of Corrie ten Boom, who helped save hundreds of Jewish lives during the Holocaust, to stage in a powerful and inspirational ballet performance.
Placed in the war zone of Dutch Haarlem in 1944, “Hiding Place” is a portrayal of divinely inspired forgiveness in the midst of desperate and unimaginable circumstances.
The Omega Company of the Ballet Magnificat! taps into the struggle of two sisters, Corrie and Betsie ten Boom, as they search for possibilities to help their life-long Jewish neighbors and friends obtain security, found in a small hiding place built in the wall of their home.
They are eventually discovered and transported to the concentration camp of Ravensbruck to face struggles far exceeding their wildest imagination.
The “Hiding Place,” hosted by Missy’s Gymnastics and Dance Studio, will be held on Thursday, March 3, at 7 p.m. at The Center for Rural Development.
