The Coasters, America’s premier rhythm and blues vocal group, will open the 2015-2016 Center Stage season on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in a live concert performance at The Center.
“We are delighted to present Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, The Coasters, as the opening show in our Center Stage season,” said Dianna Winstead, associate director of arts, culture, and events at The Center. “Their music is timeless and just as popular today as it was nearly 60 years ago.”
The Coasters dominated the R&B charts during the heyday of rock and roll in the late 1950s and continue to make music for their fans and a new generation of listeners.
The group recently released its first new studio album in nearly 35 years, “The Coasters Magical Favorites” and will have a new holiday CD, “Christmas With The Coasters,” coming out in the fall.
For tickets, call the Box Office at 606-677-6000 or click here to order tickets online. Tickets are $25 per person or $15 for students and children.
