Thanks to Ruby Tuesday’s Community GiveBack Program, guests can now dine at the South U.S. 27 Ruby Tuesday restaurant and support The Center for Rural Development’s youth leadership programs at the same time in a new monthly fundraising promotion.
Starting on July 26 and 27—and continuing every fourth Thursday and Friday of each month through December—Ruby Tuesday will donate a portion of the net sales from each guest’s purchase toward The Center’s three summer youth leadership programs: Rogers Scholars, Rogers Explorers, and Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute (ELI).
More than 200 middle and high school students in Southern and Eastern Kentucky participate in these three youth leadership programs each summer building critical leadership skills as the region’s next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs.
“The Center is very grateful that Ruby Tuesday is helping support our youth programs,” Delaney Stephens, youth programs coordinator and community liaison, said. “The community GiveBack initiative is an excellent example of ways businesses and communities can support nonprofits, like The Center’s three summer youth programs, while at the same time supporting the local economy.”
The Center’s youth leadership programs are provided tuition-free to participants and are supported solely through community donations and charitable contributions.
The Ruby Tuesday’s Community GiveBack Program was started to offer local organizations another way to raise money for their specific needs. The contribution is based on 20 percent of net sales from guests that bring in a GiveBack flyer to support The Center’s youth leadership programs.
Each customer must present a GiveBack flyer to the server at the time of the purchase to take advantage of the special fundraising promotion to support The Center’s three youth leadership programs.
A new GiveBack flyer will be issued each month during the promotion. Other Ruby Tuesday’s Community GiveBack Program dates for the youth programs fundraiser have been scheduled for Aug. 30-31, Sept. 27-28, Oct. 25-26, Nov. 22-23, and Dec. 27-28.
“The Center’s youth leadership programs provide leadership and exclusive college scholarship opportunities to students within our 42-county primary service area,” Stephens said. “The Center thanks Ruby Tuesday for its support of these youth programs.”
