Whether you are instructing a class, making a sales presentation, or facilitating a business meeting, excellent presentation skills are essential if you want to make a “good” first impression.
Your Center of Learning, The Center for Rural Development’s workforce- and career-training program, will equip you with the basic tools to help improve your presentation skills and become an effective public speaker at a one-day communication seminar on Friday, June 24, taught by a professional expert in the field of communication studies.
The seminar, entitled “How to Develop Effective Presentation Skills,” will be held from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in the training classroom on the second floor of The Center.
During the session, instructor Jennifer Fairchild, assistant professor of communication at Eastern Kentucky University, will cover the basic communication skills needed to deliver an effective presentation. She will work with participants to establish presentation outcomes, define and develop their presentation content, and master public speaking skills.
